Where the usual site loses them.

A detailing studio that sells ceramic coatings and paint correction is selling an expensive job to someone who has never seen its work in person. Most detailing sites read like a car wash menu: packages named after metals, prices hidden, and a gallery of glossy photos that never says what was done.

Apex Detail Co. is a made-up studio north of Chicago. Its site sells the method: what gets done, in what order, and where the price starts.

Five decisions, and why.

  1. Starting prices, and what's in them

Seven services, each with where its price starts, and a panel that says what the price includes before anything else is agreed. A free thirty-minute walk-around sets the final number, and that number is the one on the invoice.

  2. The method on its own page

Paint correction gets a page for the protocol: the defects, the three stages, and the rule that the studio won't cut paint below a set thickness.

  3. One car at a time, said plainly

The booking terms say how many cars the bay takes each month, the lead time, and the deposit that holds a date, which is what a buyer of an expensive job wants to know first.

  4. A quote form that knows the car

The quote request asks for the vehicle, its year and colour, and the services wanted, picked as chips, so the reply can carry a real number.

  5. The last six cars

The home page shows the last six cars through the bay and the work done on each, which tells a buyer the studio has handled cars like theirs.
