Privacy
The short version: we collect what you send us, and nothing else.
We’re a small studio. We don’t run advertising, we don’t sell data, and we don’t track you across the internet. The only personal information we hold is what you choose to send us through the audit form, and we use it for one thing: replying to you.
The full breakdown is below. If anything here is unclear, email Sam@umberdesignstudio.com.

The details
- 01
What we collect
When you use the audit form on /contact, we receive the fields you submit: your name, email address, current site URL, industry, and a short description of what you want different. Nothing else is required.
Like any web host, our servers (Vercel) record standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for a short retention window. We do not combine that with the form data, and we do not use it for marketing.
- 02
Why we collect it
One reason: so we can write you back with the audit you asked for. We do not add you to a mailing list, sell your information, or use it for advertising. There is no list to add you to.
- 03
Who we share it with
Two service providers process your data on our behalf:
- →Resend — delivers the form submission to our inbox as transactional email.
- →Vercel — hosts the site and stores standard server logs.
Both are bound by their own privacy terms. We do not share your data with anyone else.
- 04
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers, or third-party cookies. There is no cross-site tracking happening here.
The only thing we store in your browser is a single localStorage entry that remembers whether you chose the dark or light theme. It never leaves your device and is not used for analytics. You can clear it at any time from your browser’s site-data settings.
- 05
How long we keep it
Audit-form submissions live in our email indefinitely so we can refer back to past conversations with you. Server logs are rotated by the host on their standard retention schedule (typically days to weeks). You can ask us to delete your submission at any time.
- 06
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email Sam@umberdesignstudio.com and we will reply within a few business days. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA — the same email address handles those requests.

Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data — for example, if we add analytics or a newsletter — we will update this page and change the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least two weeks before they take effect.
