For Markham accountants
Nobody searches for an accountant. They search for a problem: incorporating a business, foreign income reporting, a first year of self-employment, an HST filing they have already missed. Markham accounting firms tend to publish a services list that answers none of those, in one language, for a client base that searches in two.

Markham accounting market
Markham's accounting demand skews toward owner-managed businesses, professionals, and families with genuinely complicated situations: incorporation and small business filings, foreign income and overseas asset reporting, real estate holdings, and cross-border matters. Those are searches with high intent and long consideration, and they are questions rather than service names.
A large share of that client base is more comfortable in Mandarin or Cantonese. Firms serving them in person, every day, generally have no content in that language at all, which forfeits searches facing a fraction of the competition. A page explaining foreign income reporting properly in Chinese is close to uncontested and it reaches exactly the client who most needs to feel understood.
The corporate corridor along Highway 7 adds a second client type entirely. Technology and professional firms buying bookkeeping, controller, or advisory services decide on capability and references, not on a tax-season landing page.
Where these sites lose customers
Every accountant lists tax, bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory. None of those words help a prospective client decide if you are the right fit. A short 'who we work with' section that names the revenue range, the industry types, and the engagement style books the right clients and screens out the wrong ones.
Accountants who refuse to list any price on the site end up on the phone for forty-five minutes with a client whose budget is half the minimum engagement. A simple 'engagements start at X per month' line on the services page is enough to filter.
Clients want to know you are a real CPA in good standing. A plain text page that names the CPA-Canada licence number, the year of qualification, and the firm's insurance carrier reads as competence. A footer disclaimer in six-point grey reads as evasion.

How we’d approach a rebuild
A Markham accounting rebuild builds pages around the questions clients actually type rather than a list of service names: incorporation, foreign income reporting, first-year self-employment, HST, and estate matters. Where the firm genuinely works in Chinese, those pages exist as real content with correct hreflang. Corporate and owner-managed clients get separate paths. Intake asks enough to triage and no more.
Note
We also publish a generic accountants & bookkeepers rebuild page. Every rebuild starts with a free written audit, including the Markham ones.

The searches happen in February. The pages have to be live by September to rank for them. What to build, why full-service accounting firm ranks for nothing, and the intake step that decides how the season actually goes.

Your brokerage page looks like four hundred colleagues' pages, ranks for nothing, and disappears the day you change firms. What an agent's own site is actually for, and the four pages that do the work.
