Voltur.
CUT REAL.
Brooklyn cut-and-sew rebrand built like a factory run sheet — hard black borders, hi-vis safety orange, monospace serials. The site reads like the inside of the studio, not the front of a storefront.

Premise
A Brooklyn cut-and-sew streetwear label built in a raw, brutalist visual language. Hard black borders, hi-vis orange, stamped serials, zero softness — the site reads like a run sheet from the factory floor.
Approach
Most streetwear sites default to the same visual vocabulary: black hero image, centered wordmark, big grid of product tiles. Voltur wanted the opposite — a site that reads like the inside of the studio, not the front of a storefront. We built the entire interface in a neo-brutalist language: hard black borders with no radii, hi-vis orange and caution-yellow pulled straight from safety-tape culture, monospace serials stamped on every card, and section rules drawn as printer's registration marks rather than gradients. Typography carries the brand — display type is pushed to the page edges, paragraphs hang on a visible grid, and nothing sits in a soft container. The funnel is honest about what Voltur is: a cut-and-sew label that drops four capsules a year, mostly in the hundreds of units. The homepage opens with the live drop, the drops page shows a calendar including past and upcoming cuts, and the lookbook leans editorial rather than e-commerce. Accessibility is a real concern with brutalism's high-contrast loudness — we locked focus rings to the accent orange, kept body copy at AA against concrete, and made sure every affordance has a clear hit target despite the maximal aesthetic. Imagery uses free-tier placeholder sources so the layout is believable before production photography is shot.
